I’m Jilan Hall-Johnson, the brains behind The Sassy Biscuit Co. What started as a silly idea of making biscuit waffles for my kids suddenly blossomed into a unique food venture that we invite you to come and check out.

My husband, DeMarco Johnson is the muscle behind the vision and great support.

We are passionate about family, friends, and great food.
Married after meeting and graduating from culinary art school, DeMarco’s military commitment enabled our family to travel across the country from east to west coast, giving us the opportunity to sample and savor the best cuisine in regional restaurants. Over the years we’ve found good food has a good experience behind it.

Drawing on my culinary expertise and a graduate degree in counseling, I’m digging deep, going back to my roots bringing folks back together through food! I love cooking, and I’ve incorporated recipes and techniques from my childhood to the present day to share a little bit of who I am with everyone.
